Current Art Proposal
Ideas And Concepts:
-Myths & Legends
Cultures:
1)Ancient Greece: was a Greek civilization belonging to a period of Greek history that lasted from the Archaic period of the 8th to 6th centuries BC to the end of antiquity (ca. 600 AD). Immediately following this period was the beginning of the Early Middle Ages and the Byzantine era. Included in ancient Greece is the period of Classical Greece, which flourished during the 5th to 4th centuries BC. Classical Greece began with the repelling of a Persian invasion by Athenian leadership. I think this culture personally inspires me as it established various grounds in the field of art & architecture for the betterment of society based on the flaws witnessed during the archaic period.
2) Indian Culture: The culture of India refers to the way of life of the people of India. India's languages, religions, dance, music, architecture, food, and customs differ from place to place within the country. The Indian culture, often labelled as an amalgamation of several cultures, spans across the Indian subcontinent and has been influenced by a history that is several millennia old. Many elements of India's diverse cultures, such as Indian religions, yoga, and Indian cuisine, have had a profound impact across the world. According to me, I love how indian culture is composed of remixes of diverse cultures and arts.
Eras:
1)Hellenistic art: is the art of the Hellenistic period dating from the death of Alexander the Great in 323 BC to the emergence of ancient Rome as signified by the Battle of Actium in 31 BC A number of the best-known works of Greek sculpture belong to this period. The term Hellenistic is a modern invention; the Hellenistic World not only included a huge area covering the whole of the Aegean, rather than the Classical Greece focused on the city of Athens and Sparta, but also a huge time range. In artistic terms this means that there is huge variety which is often put under the heading of "Hellenistic Art" for convenience. There has been a trend in writing the history of this period to depict Hellenistic art as a decadent style, following of the Golden Age of Classical Athens.
2) Romanticism: was an artistic, literary, and intellectual movement that originated in Europe toward the end of the 18th century and in most areas was at its peak in the approximate period from 1800 to 1850. Partly a reaction to the Industrial Revolution. It was embodied most strongly in the visual arts, music, and literature, but had a major impact on historiography, education and the natural sciences. This Era particularly inspires me and the prime focus of my theme in terms of era revolves around Romanticism due to its implementation on emotions such as apprehension, horror and terror, and awe—especially that which is experienced in confronting the sublimity of untamed nature and it picturesque qualities.
